That is a very good question! To tell you the truth - I don't know. It took me over 8 years to get the nasty chemical taste out of my herb. What helped me get it right was the following.
I always dry the same way so it wasn't my drying, same as curing...

My stuff got good when I backed off putting too many chemicals in it - I had the lame idea that more was better.
Another real help was I started using Final Phase to flush them. What it does is it strips the salt off the roots in soil. After the first use of it, the plants begin getting real thirsty which helps flush it out. Some people say they don't bother flushing... Anyway, the cool thing about Final Phase is it's fairly cheap - one teaspoon to a gal. and thats the ONLY thing you add to the water.

The best part is watching the freaking buds get about 1/5 bigger in size. They start growing little buds on top of the bud or colas! Very trippy to see a cola grow bigger when they are normally
    done in size.

    Good luck and HAVE FUN!

Hmm... I'd have to say growing organically in soil will be the best way to enhance the flavors and aromas of your stash.

The second most important thing is the slow dry, which I see as the first step to a good cure.

use roots organic nutes in roots organics soil and some fruit flavor bud and taste and aroma are retarded. I did a fruit automatic on the side of my reg grow and the whole house smelt like grapefruit and tasted like eating grapefruit. burned clean

i think a slow dry is very important. Im wondering if there is an added benefit by letting them take 2 weeks to dry rather than 10 days.

If you can get it done without the buds molding ... slower is better imo. cn

i think drying is more important simply for the fact that if your buds dry too quickly, they are always going to taste like poopoo no matter how long they're left to cure..

curing is also very important, but only after a nice slow dry..

A nice short flush. I do 4 days. Then 7-10 day dry. And a good cure. I don't tuch it till 2 weeks min. But keep curing till it's all gone. And damn after 80 days of cure it's so sweet. Haven't gone longer then that. I run out lol.

Lol at A Nice Cure as an option. As opposed to an angry one...

I think terpenoids mostly account for flavor. That should have been an option.
