    Default yard smell??

dried for 5days until they felt a bit crusty now theyve been in a jar for almost a week and it has a slight hint of freshly cut yard grass. after inspection their isnt any mold and i can still see lots of trichs and the nugs get clumped together... soo wat am i doingwrong? this strain

a different hella very purple strain had some dense nuggetry and lots of trichs. same 5day process and jared up. after a sample it taste so freaken smooth but theirs no 'affects' ... what am i doing wrong here? this strain is either gods gift or grape ape. i dont know i tossed one and kept the other but i didnt label them

i have another one still going, more trichs on this one compared to the other 2 but it doesnt seem to be plumping up on the branches just trichs everywhere. im scared to cut this down or let it go somemore and maybe add nutes again bcuz its been flushing with water for the last week or so. this one is a badseed strain

try putting them in a paper bag for a few days. they get airflow plus the paper absorbs dampness

That grassy smell is chlorophyll. After you're sure they are dry enough, cure them for at least 3 weeks and that grassy smell should be replaced with a much nicer aroma as the chlorophyll breaks down.

drying should take place over a longer period of time to avoid this problem

only a week? lol! dude it takes longer then a week, just keep popping the jar.. get a meter to measure the humidity in the jar... in 2-3- weeks the hay smell should be gone.

Most paper bags will impart a harsher taste to your buds. Just give them air and have patience. Glass all the way my friend, with bongs too!!

Sometimes mine do this for a bit...just leave the jar open for awhile, then put the lid back on and keep doing that til it feels light and dry and I don't know, you can just tell when you don't need to keep opening a jar...either way the smell usually comes back...
I apologize for my incessant rambling, but if you are patient there is inner hidden wisdom in most of my posts...Like playing literary "Where's Waldo."--------------- See, it's fun!

To properly cure a product, how dry your product is critical to the cure. To wet/dry when put into jars damages the cure process. too dry and you lose potency, too wet you lose taste.

To properly cure you must know the moisture content, anything under 20% is too dry and anything over 30% is too wet. I shoot for 25% before jarring it up. At 25% you will burp the jar for about a week, thats it.

Flushung improperly will effect the cured bud also.
