how to use an industrial low bay light fixture
http://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/...l-low-bay.html
Ive got 3 of these and they all display the same stats. Very good value for the price.....
the thing that bothers me is they are all made in china. even the cal3 ones which boast accuracy plus or minus 1 degree where as ALL of the rest claim to be off by as much as 5 degrees. so which is more believable? cal3's lie about their accuracy and simply charge too much or they are all basically the same, little difference and the others tell the truth about their accuracy??? i'm up for the former. anyone wanna chime in? i should say i do stay away from analog hygrometers. way off. but the digitals??? i'm thinking they are almost identical. some just cost more cuz they come from a smoke shop not a direct dealer in china.
I have 2 cheap mechanical meters off ebay and they read almost exactly the same. They were around $10 a piece if I remember. I do not use them anyways as I just go by feel to cure buds and here in Socal it is so dry humidity is a non issue in the grow tent.
Shit, I posted the wrong photo. That photo should've also had a Caliber III right next to them for comparison. Think I deleted that one now... Yup, I did.
Anyway... Every cheapy hygrometers I bought were off from the Cal3. Of the four they were off +7, +5, +2 & -5. I labeled them as such and will use them.
The main difference I can see, other than the Cal3's accuracy compared to them, Is how fast the Cal3's readings change. The Cal3 will change in an instant if breathed on it or put in front of a fan. The cheapys will change after prolonged change.
I'd still rather wait for a sale on Cal3's, xikars or hydrosets and then buy a few at a time but I just had to check the cheapo's.
this is pretty priceless
i am glad i got the hydrometer recommended in this sub-forum's "perfect cure" sticky
caliber III it's called
but now i wish i had 3 or 4 of them to do the same test
haha
its the humidity they are displaying, the temp is the little number in the corner
and they only deviate by .3 degrees, seem pretty accurate to me.
