i hope u meant amber trichs, hairs are not an indicator of when to harvest. ive been at this for years and never look at hairs. trich color is final determiner.

I notice that all the people tell you that you should use a jewelry loupe to notice the trics & everything. I wonder how the big weed producers handle the situation. They keep a close eye on each plant. It has to be a visual thing about the plants which makes you think that the plant is done. Other than the trics. Just my 2 cents.

One of my autos plants had the same look for ~2 weeks almost. No change, nothing. The same bud size, the same green leaves, the same trics ( mix of clear & milky ). I just followed my instinct with them

I am gonna agree looks like a couple more weeks. The trics should be the final decider but over all ripness including letting them pop will give you the best results. Looks good.

as some have said, the apparent ripeness of the plant when viewed as a whole is much more usefull as a tool for judging when to harvest than it is often given credit for. people wanna believe that better technology must have the best answer all the time

but they should remind themselves that their human reasoning skills are much more advanced than a few convex pieces of plastic or glass arranged in a row (i.e. microscope)

for instance, upon observing most plants which are grown in a tall space with only light coming from the top, it is usually the case that the lower popcorn nugs ripen just a little slower than the rest of the plant.

this means that it actually pays off to harvest the top of a plant showing the ripest buds first, and allow the lower nugs to fatten up a bit in the full light for a few days or even a week.

you end up getting much more from your ladies than you would have gotten by just scoping the trichomes on the main cola, seeing some amber, and chopping the whole plant.

like many subjects, people will complicate things like harvest. hairs do have plenty to do with harvest time, if theres more amber hairs, youll be getting more of a couchlock high than anything due to the THC degrading to CBD/CBN, white hairs means its still THC and you will probably get a more racy, energetic high, come curing time you can let them sit longer and let the THC degrade to CBD/CBN, although letting them run longer is better for trichs and overall potency, many have different opinions on what they believe to be time for harvest, so a big part of this is how you like your bud.
you dont need a microscope to determine these things, yellowing leaves usually appear around harvest time given the fact you dont feed them nitrogen up to harvest, this can effect taste in the bud. like monkeybones said, the more exposed parts of the plant and the closest to the light will be getting most of the energy, so chopping these first and letting the lower branches run is a good idea, i dont do this because im usually training them to grow equivalent buds, the goal is to keep them all at the same height so you dont let other get ahead. it looks like plenty of those hairs are still white, so like others said, let em run a little bit longer.

yea i agree, my first was bad too.

id say start cutting off nutrients and reducing how much you water, 2 weeks id cut probably, (after 3 days no water, and 1 day no light)

stop nutrients all together or put them on a lower dose and ween them off thank for everyones help

if something catastrophic happened tonight... you would still be able to chop and have very smokeable weed

i need a fucking lighter to smoke... lame
