Budswell?

i was just curious to know in everyones opinion.. do lower buds tend to ripen before the calyxes swell? my top bud has already been clipped because all of the calyxes were big.. pistils! receding.. milky and amber etc.. question is.. will these lower buds calyxes swell before the peak harvest time has come or will the trichomes go amber before this happens? thanks in advance for the help.

When all your trics on the bottom buds are cloudy chop. Your calyxes should be swollen by this point, almost to the point that it looks like there is a seed in it ready to explode! I'm not sure based on your question if you are waiting for more of a swell before chopping? I do not even check my trics until the calyxes are swollen and hairs starting to recede/turn red.

roc.. yeah theyre cloudy but not swollen like the top cola was. what im asking is.. will they start to go amber without swelling? im hoping theyre gonna swell a bit more before that happens.

I would just keep a close eye on them. They should swell more, but you do not want to wait for the swell at the cost of degrading your trichomes... Good luck, let me know how you make out.

well everything is harvested. they didnt swell as much as i wouldve like but.. i did get some more crystals for the time waited. need a bigger light.
