how to improve my current curing process?

your "burping" for too long i think... when i burp its open the jar fan it out for 20 seconds and put the lid back on. all you want to do is remove any moisture that made it from inside the bud into the air. after the 1st week-10days you should notice your "green smell" bieng replaced with nice aromas. and you will not completely dry out your buds. good luck next time.

After harvest I jar up for 10 hrs.. Then I burp for 2 hrs ( remove lids ). Re-jar for 10hrs, and again burp for 2 hrs. I repeat this for 2 weeks , then I reduce the burping to 5-10 mins every 24 hrs for a week. After that I store them for a week in a cabinet with lids on no burping. And once I crack that lid I've got what I asked for.... " Pungent Dank "! In my opinion the 2 week cure is smoke able but a extra week or 2 will give u what your looking for.. I wasted to many harvest rushing the most important part. My buds would look like commercial nuggs with all the bag appeal , but they would not be up to my standards.. With a couple extra weeks you will be happy man... And remember also , some strains cure at different rates. Dense indica nuggs may take a bit longer to cure out than the more wispy sativa like buds.. Basically my goal is to hang dry until just before the stem snaps, and then cure until the stem snaps... curing is fuckin tricky next time i do it im going with a hygrow meter. for me growing it is the easy part. its curing and drying that always ends up pissin me off

Agreed, any monkey with half a brain get grow the tron, but the drying and curing will make or break your crop and unfortunately I have read 1 million articles on this yet there is NO how to, everybody deals with different conditions and we must custom tailor our drying and curing needs, based on our environment

As you say, the problem with a one-all process is the difference in individual environmental conditions, along with the product, itself. This is why we measure the humidity inside the curing container to gauge the state of the cure. It's the only way to know whether the flowers are curing or not.

I must say I do like only drying for about 3 days here. And then go into brown paper bags to slow the drying process as well. Problem is in NYC is at during the winter the heaters come on and reduce humidity to 0 while during the summer humidity is at almost 80% steady.
