Hello Everyone,
I am getting close to harvesting and I don't want to mess things up. So everyone says to dry in the dark.... Darkness + heat = mold, so is it ok to dry them with some light? or in total darkness with colder air?

u can dry in the light but thats what degrades the thc. So u will lose potency. A hygrometer measures the humidity in the air. As long as u dont have high humidity over 50% mold wont be a problem. The temperature should be around 60 to 70 farenheit no higher. Having a fan to circulate air in the drying room can help prevent mold also.

its not really heat you need to worry about when it comes to mould but you dont want ya bud drying to quick so so keep the heat down but not cold tho!its humidity you should worry about so do like evil buddies said and keep it below 50% and everything should be fine!

So am i, a month to go, the little plant has been in there for 2 days the big one 1 day. So its gonna be a month b4 its ready. Will let u know what its like with a report. I pollenated a few buds with some skunk haze pollen just gonna wait a week then germ them.

Another question I have is when to harvest? The tri's are STILL clear, day 57 in flowering. How much longer do I have to go? The place I got the seeds says 7 weeks! This is my first time, harder than it looks lol

look for 75-80% amber crystals if you dont have a scope if you do look for trcihs to mostly just be turning cloudy....Dry the bud in a dark low humidty are with good air movement dont have it blow directly on the bud just have it move the air.If you know your home is prone to mold or mildew a simple sulfur burner in the drying are will kill all spores that try to form. I cut my plants and take the bigger fans and leaves away then hang up side down for a week.I then remove buds from branches and manicure to finish then lay on screens for 3 days light fan near then 2 days in paper bags open once a day then into jars for the cure for at least 30 days for me.Open the jars 2-3 times a day for first week 15 minutes each time then once a day for 10 minutes in week 2 then in week 3 15 minutes everyother day and by the last weke keep closed and stored in dark draw all chlorphyl is gone buds are just right and the taste and thc are finally cured to perfection..time and patience are your friend...sincerely FilthyFletch
