i used to put mine under an incandescent light bulb and fry the shit out of it. but then i learned to just get more weed from someone, smoke that, and wait another month to do it all the right way lol. waiting sucks but its key

    quick dry/cure method= Oxymoron.

Curing is slowly drying the buds so the chlorafil will all get out. Speed drying locks in the chlorafill.

I have read the ed roshenthal oaksterdam text book and i dont remember anything like what you describe.

Nothing wrong with quick drying to determine the perfect time to harvest, but the end result is a shitty tasting, harsh, bud with a fraction of the active thc

dry your bud slowly, then throw the buds in jars and open once a day for a few weeks or much longer

you waited however many months to get to this point, now is not the time to cut corners man

no the guy has been growing for 20 something years and he used to be friends with ed rosenthal and told me about this method is you let it dry in a dark closet or something for 2-3 days then you put them in a jar or bag and let out the moisture, its not cutting corners or anything like that its a faster way to cure it and it obviously works if the guy has been doing it for that long

i have used a paper bag to make it quicker and it works. just clip off the buds from the stalks after trimming. then put a layer of buds in a paper bag. then cover that with a layer of shredded paper bag and another layer of bud and another layer of shredded paper.

the paper bags will help to suck the moisture from within. just know that when its dry you still need to place in a jar for at LEAST a few days before the bud will come right off the stems.

once again, if you don't have the patience to properly dry and cure.. then you shouldn't be growing IMO.

You got to have patience.. all these "quick dry" methods are not only a waste of time.. but a waste of good product. When the trichs on cannabis are exposed to temps that are 200`F or higher.. the trichs (which are what hold the thc.. the stuff that gets you high/stoned) will burst open (explode) therefore releasing all the THC that is stored inside the trichs. Just a total waste of time..

The quickest method of curing.. is to use the 'Water cure'. It does work.. I've tried it. Doesn't really have any negative effects on the buds other than the looks. It comes out looking kinda ugly.. but the smoke/taste/smell of it is all the same.. as if it were cured with glass jars. It only takes 5 to 7 days for the water cure to finish up.. then you need to let it air dry again for two or three days until dry enough to smoke. Once its dry enough to smoke, your good to go.

But all those other "quick drying" methods.. are for people with no patience and no love for the plant/buds that they grow.. JMO.

    peace.

thats why i am glad others answer this because i dont really like listening to you cannabisguru, its one of ed rosenthal methods that HE uses and everyone obviously knows who he is and how long he has been doing this and your just some guy on the internet, thanks for the input but no thanks and when you do the quick dry cure you dont expose it to high temps, all i remember is he was saying you let it hang in a closet within a certain temp for 2-3 days then you put them into jars or plastic bags along with something else to help it cure faster, it doesnt do anything to the buds i mean he is a fucking teacher at oaksterdam and writes the handbooks.....idk why your talking shit about his method

just for the record, the method i mentioned above is not by any means a quick dry. its simply another way of drying herbs and its used alot in large scale ops where they throw full plants in large boxes with newspaper and wrap it up in duct tape for a couple weeks before going in a rototrimmer and on the streets.

that said, the best thing to do is leave all buds on the stalks and hang for 9 days, then while bud still doesnt come off the stems perfectly ...throw it in jars.

hell, even increase the rh if you want to prolong the dry process, just watch for mold
