easyest way to make hash

easiest and fastest methods i have found are to: put ground up bud/trim into a blender, fill blender 2/3 with bud 1/3 with water and toss in 5 ice cubes. set blender to chop and do this for 10-15 minutes in spurts. once this is done, let settle for 30 minutes and strain out bud/trim, and use a coffee filter to strain the water. once the coffee filter is dry you can scrape off the hash from the filter
edit: you get much more higher quality hash with this method, but you lose out on quantity.

second method is too put ground up bud/trim inside a mason jar, fill with 91% rubbing alcohol with water as an inactive ingredient. shake and swirl around for like 30 seconds, strain into a pyrex glass baking pan or any square dish. then either let it evaporate over 48 hours or fill a pot with an inch and a half of water and put on high. once the water has begun boiling, place the glass dish or square dish ontop of the boiling water pot, and let evaporate over 20 minutes. allow for good ventilation when doing the double-boiler method, rubbing alcohol fumes are deadly. once the liquid has evaporated, you should be left with either a brown or black resin looking substance, place in freezer for 15 minutes and then scrape with a razor.

with this method you can get high quality hash as long as you dont let the plant material sit in the rubbing alcohol for too long.

i got a question in regard to your extraction method using isopropynol...
i used isoprop just like you my last grow, i bascailly juust took a pasta pot, ground up all my shit or at least broke it up into smaller peices, and let it sit in the alcohol covered so as not to evaporate, for almost a week...then i boiled it off, so your saying letting it sit in the alcohol longer will lead to an inferior product as opposed to letting it sit in the alcohol for a short amount of time? i would have thought longer time in teh solvent would allow for graeter THC absorption into the alcohol and thus a higher quality product...any other opinions on this?

using rubing alcohol makes me nervous but if it works i might give it a try my plant is 3 feet high so im sure i will have enough trimmings/ popcorn nugs

wait how much water to how much alcohol? and if i just let it sit in a dark room insead of double boiling it would that work

Heres something you can do with all the trimmings. I highly suggest this method.. as it's the easiest and takes little time to complete. The longest part.. is waiting for the alcohol to completely evaporate.. thus leaving nothing left but lovely smokeable hash.

Here's ya go..

Just read the directions.. and follow each step to the 't'.. and you'll soon have your own stash of some killa hash!

Ignore the above blender/water method.


- Get a black and decker coffee grinder and put a bud or two in -- spin for 10 seconds. You will notice CRAZY amount of keif in the lid.

- Bang lid on a table and gather kief, press into hash.

Also the above (ISO hash) method is much faster if you use a pure-filtered Butane and a tube with a hole on one end and a screen on the other, rather then soaking the buds in alcohol

i was thinking about this earlier, if you took 93% isopropyl alcohol, commonly available in stores...then performed either of the following to remove the 7% water:
1) freeze it, alcohols freezing point is extremely low, and id think that its possible to seperate the water out because it would solidify...true or not that might remove some water
2) run the alcohol through a coffee filter filled with epsom salt or any type of salt which would hypothetically absorb the water leaving a more pure solution of alcohol.

I figure both of these together must remove some water from the 93% isopropyl...and there both cheap and easy, isopropyl def costs less by volume than butane...anyone have any expertise in this or tried purifying isopropyl?
