Default Joey Weed AK 47 - Ready or Not?
I was wondering if anyone has grown Joey Weed AK 47. How many weeks till harvest did it take? They say six to eight weeks. Today is the six week mark for mine. Opinions as to weather they are ready to cut would be appreciated. Check out the pics.

What happened to the fan leaves? Ph problem?

The fan leaves died, just as they usually do late into flowering. I have a NL plant that started flowering at the same time and many of its fan leaves are still alive and green, plus all of its hairs are still white, unlike the AK.
JW states that NL takes about 8 weeks to flower, but they say that AK takes 6 to 8 weeks. I can definitely tell that the AK has developed much faster. That is why I am wondering if they look ready.

I did have a spidermite problem at one time. What you see in the pic is old webbing with dead mites on it. The problem is now under control. Not sure the spidermites are the reason for the leaves dying. Like I said, my other plant that isn't as ripe does not have all those dead leaves.

That is not typical yellowing from lack of nutes. I would think you may of had(have) a mite problem...and possibly a ph issue. Something looks locked out.

I know lots of folks like to have everything yellow up at the end....but I don't see things that way. A healthy green plant right to the end has to be more beneficial than a dying plant starved for food.

Outdoor plants don't die off like that before harvest...at least mine never have.

Drink!

good point. I don't think it was ph problem because I would test it regularly. Do you think it could be caused by a too strong nutrient solution? My solution is usually up around 2000 ppm, sometimes higher.

If you are using a .5 scale...thats really high. That would be an ec of 4. If you use the .7 scale...thats still almost an EC of 3. I never feed that high on any strain.

Drink!
