i hate to have to be the one to tell you this... if you use a 400watt hps lamp, your going to get between 6 to 8 ounces, see like i was telling you before... X amount of light can produce X amount of pot...... the amount of plants you have.. or what kind they are really don't matter.. for the most part.. if your use a 400 watt HPS light and you fill a 3ft by 3ft area with pot you will get about 6 to 8 oz... weather you have 10 plants or 1 plant... the number of plants just dictates how much veggging you will have to do... you could veg one plant for a month and get 8 ounces... or you could veg 6 plants for 1 week and get 8 ounces, if you have a smaller setup, then do more plants vegged for les time... thats the better way to go... but to answer your queshtion... there is no way your going to get 4oz off a plant unless your using an addiquit light... if you use 400watts worth of florcents (not equivlant watts real watts) then i would think that you would get 0.1 grams per watt maybe 0.2... so that would be a total of maybe like 2 - 2 and a 1/2 oz... something like that... no matter how many plants you have

WATTAGE = WEED

if you are going to use florals i would recomend getting a t5, but for 1/2 the price of a t5 you could get a 400w hps/mh switchable ballast...

i hate to be real about this, but if you really want pot, you really need to get a light

I have a 400 W HID

with 5 plants my last grow i got just under 5 ounces i am hoping to improve on that and maybe get 10 ounces this time around. From what you are saying if i achieve 8 ounces then i have done as well as i can given area vesus light.

well first off...throw up a screen over the plants and weave the plants around the wholes to make a scrog...then you may get what you wanted...

you can get from 6 to 10 from a 400water, that also depends on your strain and style of growing.... btw, this is -dank-, i just had to switch my account.... when you click on the name for -dank- it would take you to the profile for dank so i figured i would start a new name... since that one didn't have man y posts , so if what i say helps. tip the scales on this account.. thanks...

well your wrong about yeaild.

depends if you grow in soil or in hydro or whatever.

i seen a guy grow 2 plants and tied the branches down and he achieved 1 pound of dry bud under a 400w. so anythings possibly you just need to have knowledge

didn't you read what i said.. it also depends on your strain and style of growing.. sheesh.. sure you can get more from a 400watter, the best grower in the world that i know of. uses canna nutriant and no co2, just vents fresh air though his room and gets 1 gram per watt ever 30 days growing a select pheno of the strian Chronic by serious seeds.. thats a 45 day strain so he is geting 1.5 grams per watt... that takes time tho... to do it right , you need a mother plant, you need to fill your space accordingly... you need to have your nutriants dialed in... all this takes time... if your just starting out and you get 6oz off a 400 water, thats ok, not the best but ok... if you get 8oz, that doing ok... if you get 10oz... you should smile.. thats just my own view when it comes to growing weed and people starting out growing weed... its a realistic amount of weed to expect... can you get more... sure... if you have the right strain, the right system, with your nutriants dialed in just right... and you move your lights around just right and train your plants... then sure you can, but this is about avrage yeilds... there useto be a grow room calculator for effichancy over at overgrow.com beforen they shut down... this is where i got my information from on effichancy... its all about your squair footage verses your wattage, verses your growing style....
