Theres controversy over the "best" method to drying. Like most things, the 'best' takes the most time to achieve. But without sacrificing much if any quality, while taking minimal time, I've found this to be the best way: Hang dry upside down 24-48 hours, then brown paper bag for 4 to 6 days untill its dry. It will feel dry to the touch, crispy even, when dry enough to jar. At this point it is smokeable, but without curing it is not such a delicacy as it could be. If you want it to burn cleaner, taste better, and ultimately be more potent (during curing the greenery shrinks leaving only swollen tricomes) stick it in a glass jar and open once a day to air out and prevent mold, for another 3 or four weeks. The BEST way would probably be hang upside down for 24 hours then jar it for 6 to 8 weeks, burping jars daily, but i don't have the patience for that.
