3 different strains are getting cured at the moment. I keep them in plastic lunch boxes. I shake and open them for 10-15 minutes daily.

But the smell is all the same... It smells hmm... frosty and minty. It just hits ur nose in a very unpleasant way. The nugs are all pretty dry on touch and just abit sticky!
Its been a week or so since i put them in boxes.

One of them big ones got alittle mold on it so i separated it from the good ones it into a different box and let it dry for longer period of time.


Now the question is:

Howcome they all smell the same? And h0wcome i dont like the smell at all?

I repeat: All 3 strains have the same unpleasant smell of frostiness and abit of unsweet mint... kinda sux of a smell. Any suggestions?

Ummm I'm curious which strains you mean. Are they all from the same breeder because I've had a sketchy experience with one particular breeder where all their "different" strains turned out the same. I would also like to know how exactly you dried your buds. Was there any exposure to light while drying because if the buds are not in complete darkness while drying you will lose potency and flavor.

I dryed em for 3-4 days in a room with humidity of 20.

The strains are

Church, cheese, white rhino

All from greenhouse.

While drying i had to give them alittlebit of indirect light(since other things needed to be done in that room),

My intuition is telling me they smell moldy... so i decided to open the jars for a day... anyone thinks that this might solve everything?

without photos, or actually lookin at the nugs, its hard to say.

make a safe bet and let them dry more. when drying, never be greedy about weight. let it dry all the way. if it molds, its garbage.

OK I've grown two of those strains.... but don't worry, GreenHouse wasn't the breeder I was referring to before where all the strains were the same. Anyway, something else must be off. The Cheese is dank and should stink a lot. I didn't like the White Rhino as much but it should still smell. My suggestions for next time (not sure how you could fix any of these points for your current harvest) are to make sure your drying and curing spaces are 100% dark at all times. Seriously, after the plant is cut the THC and terpenes (chemical compounds responsible for smell and taste) will be converted into other things when exposed to light. You should also get the humidity up to 40-50% for drying. 3-4 days is pretty fast for complete dryness. Mine take almost a week. Also get some proper glass mason jars for curing. They should be easily available at grocery stores or Walmart. They should be completely sealing in the air/moisture.

Whats up my brotha...to get that delicious smell that your craving you absolutely have to "cure"....drying is one thing but curing is entirely diffrent and 20% humidity is no good brotha...invitation for mold...get yourself some mason jars and throw em in there "airtight"...burmp em keep on em to make sure you dont have mold...if you got mold...buds are useless....and 3-4 days bro...no way...I think your too anxious my brotha to reap the benefits of your sow...take your time and do it right...its the only way to get what your aiming for..Good Luck
