13 weeks into 12/12 bagseed.
Trics are clear to cloudy a few amber on some buds.
What do you think?

The buds are done when about 90% of the thc treads (the white hair coming from the buds) have turn brown...
I'd say there ready but you have to look at each plant personal to determine if its ready or not (here i come and claim your crop.. gonna find u and smoke it slowly... ow got confused srry )

get a handheld microscope to check the trichs color... hair color means squat

These plants were grown from bagweed seeds and some seeds I had laying around for years and are in the 13 week of flowering.
This is my first grow and I am determined not to crop early out of impatience.

I'm thinking they are a Sativa strain and there for may take a little longer.
I just don't want to wait too long, but with that being said I still have not seen that RIPE look yet.
I have clear to cloudy trics.
Out of desperation I've switched from 12/12 lighting to 11/13 with the hope this would simulate the shorter days of fall.
Any suggestions would be glady taken into consideration.

look great. mine are not done, 12 1/2 week flowering. i flushed a little early and i swithched my time to 11/13 last week for you i would give them 4 more days and the last 3 would be in the dark. you got any pic alittle closer? i would love to see a few pics of the trics to

I don't have a macro so I can't get a close up of the trics.
I have plenty of good bud to smoke so I guess I'll just wait them out.

They're done when you say they're done, brother. I'm convinced if you harvest those girls now, they're gonna' get you ripped. I'd pick em' now. They look FIRE!

In the years I have been doing this, the embeded small leaves have never turned yellow when the tri's are at the perfect ratio. I would chop them down, as thc degradation is most likely in effect.

Nice looking all around though. As previous stated, hairs are over rated and don't really give an accurate depiction of optimal harvesting. It is all about the tri's!!! Go to radioshack, a handheld microscope 60x-100x is 12 bucks and the best investment you could have. Read the threads relating to Tri's and it will help you achieve optimal harvest everytime. REMEMBER DRYING AND CURING IS KEY TO TASTE AND QUALITY OF SMOKE!!!! Read the threads...
