First grow... when to harvest and other ?s

How are you all doing? Smokin’ I hope!

Anyways, this is my first grow and just wanted to post some pics and ask some questions. Just to give u guys some background on these, I started germinating these from seed about late June. As soon as I seen them sprout I put them under a 400w. Unfortunately they stayed in solo cups about 3 wks longer than what I wanted them to but were still about 16-18 inches in height. I couldn’t use the lamp at that time so I put them outside about late July.

Does anyone recognize them? I bought like 40+ seeds from this arab guy who said they were afgan kush. I don’t think there were afgan kush plus the look like 2 different strains. I was thinking of just naming them myself, Red Wine n’ White Wine, cuz they have a nice strong and fresh stank. Mmmmm…

Now the one on the right, the one with the big bud, is about 8-9wks into flowering. Does anyone know about how much longer? I’m thinking about another 2-3wks. Also, does anyone know if I could clone at harvest? I would really like to keep this strain.

The other girl started flowering late cuz I pulled a male that was sharing the same pot, so I think it shocked it a little. She is about 3-4 wks into flowering, with that said, do u guys think it is ok to continue to grow her under the sun going into November? I live in Orange County, California and I don’t think it gets that cold during the day but might dip down into 50’s 40’s at night. Also, should I give her some bloom juice or something?

Another question about both girls… fan leaves. To cut or not to cut…. That is the question!!

Last question, I now have a chance to put them back under the 400w. Should I just put them back under the light on a 12/12 and finish them under the 400w or keep them outside? I’m looking to do what is best for my girls.

they need at least a few weeks - you should be able to know when they're done by the look of the buds and the trichomes.. you wont have all those fresh hairs sticking up at the end..

Those plants need water. And it's hot. If you have higher temps...like 80-90's you need to water a little more often. Hence the curling and shitty posture of your sexy ladies. Give em water and 2 or 3 weeks and you'll be golden. DO NOT CUT THE FAN LEAVES! They will fall off on their own. LEAVE THEM ALONE! They look like shit cause they need some love. Put them inside. If you have the chance....do it. Control the hell out of your environment. Check out a proper grow setup on here or ask around before moving them inside. You could bring in bugs or already have em...and the one that was with the male needs to be destroyed...cut some clones and move on. It's already contaminated...and could cause the other plant to produce seeds as well. Do not clone so close to harvest...if you absolutely have to...go to the bottom and to a little node down there. I think you can cut a smaller fan leaf from the bottom and trim all the leaves down nice and small and clone that way. I have never cloned in harvest so eh...but if I had to...that's how I'd do it mate. Good luck.
