My plants have just started to go into flower mode..2 days in. My table is low and she'll go, light is as high as shell go, and the 400w HPS is a hot mofo. The plants are almost four feet tall already, and I hear they grow 2 to 3x their size when your done budding. I am going to HAVE to trim the tops in order to keep them from being scorched by the HPS light...

My question is, how the fuck (if at all possible) do I cut the tops without stunting that main cola... will they just grow fatter if I cut the plant like a clone..or is it basically going to screw my plants up? One plant I have has five main colas because I pinched the head at 6 weeks to see what would happen.. from now on Ill be doing that to all my plants. Any help would be useful, heres some pics.

Any way to rig your light so it hangs
vertical in the middle surrounded by
your plants? Might only cost a new socket and some stuff to rig it up.
Try to find a way around cutting them
if you can.

I have four under that 400w. Had six clones at first, one died early, another was a run so I shitcanned it only about 18 inches after 8 weeks it was stuntin my big momma's style (taking her light areas).

I can't hang the light in the middle, the hydro system I have put together is in a 2' x 4' tub..I would kill for a 4x8 or even 4x4. I was thinking next year using a kiddy pool and when I flower use one of those huge ass saucer hoods ..

i got four plants and still not enough lighting. if i ever grow big boys again itll be in either soil outside, or ill have two plants per 400w light.

or i could get a brain and buy a 1000w like i should have in the first place

how long did you veg them for to get them 4 ft tall?

Well....it is possible to "veg to long" with respect to height restrictions... unless you can handle a 6-10 foot plant.... your just going to have to put in work brother and "wrangle" with her a bit...manipulate those branches, bend those tops (dont break em)...
