A friend of mine once thought he met a stripper with a heart of gold.

But she turned out to be a he.

It made for one really funny evening and story to tell.

I am in agreement with you, and I do swear to wear the growing philosophy of; THC efficacy. - It's just what we do.

However,

Our 'class' of grower is far outnumbered by the others; the ignorant and ineffectual... which is harsh branding i admit-
I find it very interesting and novel that marijuana cultivation as a hobby will so clearly bring out 'this difference' of position between those who will try their best to grow and approach things logically, and those who will take an undeveloped, holistic/aesthetic/personal appreciation of the truly mystical, and age old act of harvesting medicine. marijuana cultivation is pretty "radical" because it puts the power of production at the hands, and the experience of everyone who tries it... however not everyone is interested in the idea, or practice of 'production'. Whatever. Fuck those people, just let them try and fail. They're what Allen greenspan calls "eaters". Seriously fuckem and the parents that raised them, coddling such a dissociate reality.

I'm proud of what i've got going, and i'm pretty good at what i'm doing Elder Bricktop... and this is my first round with these genetics, and the phenos weren't 'chosen', they just were the ones left.

Next round, I hope to grow out 20 cindy beans - and find a top tier pheno from that group to keep on growing... a sog table, high pressure aeroponics, CO2, A/C, and 800w of (kickass rebel red 700ma) led's, and some uvb cfls. That is fuckin' efficacy.

Yeah I am young though Bricktop,

... and i decided to harvest today. milky white, with a light amber haze in the more dense parts... Close to top thc production,

almost all the leaves were yellow too, although i don't think i flushed completely... only time will tell after the cure.

fuck. i don't know how much i'm gonna yeild off of that plant... Any guesses?

400w / 28 g = 14.2 ounces expected yield, (if I a achieve a gram per watt which i think i might have),

so expect nearly a pound from that plant no?

Personally given all I believe you made a wise decision to harvest.

Properly dried and properly cured in the end I do not think that you will be disappointed and wish that you had waited longer to harvest just so you could flush more considering the possible changes that may have taken place that would be less desirable than possibly a flavor and smoothness that is maybe only 90% as good as it possibly might have been.

I am in the process of finishing up my 2009 bagseed grow. The seeds came from 4 different bags. I have about 5 different strains. None of which are brand name, more than likely they are hibreds of hibreds. That creates quite a genetic mosaic. Three of the thrity plants are sativa doms. They took about 3/4 weeks longer to start to flower than the indica doms. I have a few plants that are ready to harvest next week, but i know the sativas may not be at peak ripeness when i harvest them.

These were all from bagseed. Sativa can come from bagseed, but doesnt mean that sativa IS bagseed.

These were all from bagseed. Sativa can come from bagseed, but doesnt mean that sativa IS bagseed.

The odds of someone getting a pure sativa seed from their herb are really pretty unimaginable.

There are not many of those who grow for profit who are into growing pure sativa strains with long to extremely long flowering times and lesser yields.

Now the odd of finding a seed in weed that is predominantly sativa could be very likely.

Many top strains owe their punch to their sativa heritage so it is in there somewhere so it can be seen and can be even more obvious if a different phenotype or two pop up in the crowd.

But the odds of finding pure sativa these days is pretty slim. It is not impossible … but it is highly improbable.
