Hey I was wondering if you left your harvest to hang and dry in a dark room with good airflow and shut the door for an entire week without checking?

Im asking because my projected harvest time is a day before I leave town for a week

u should be fine, depending on how much/ how dense you bud is it can take anywhere from just a few days to over a week to dry. Just make sure ur not having them touch when hanging or u might run into some problems

Are you talking about mold problems if they touch?

Heres a pic of my future drying rack, acceptable? Hang them from it or lay them on top?

yeah thats fine, Just make sure like each branch isnt so close that everything is touching, spread them out just enough so buds dont touch buds on other branches

I would hang them.

They should be fine for a week if you've got good airflow and exhaust.

Hanging is better for a good drying and makes better use of your space. I hang from wire shelving too.
