I was planning on building a nice insulated box, digging a deep large hole, and storing my excess bud in jars, in the box, in the woods, underground. Any suggestions? I can't keep bud in the house. Thanks.

Make sure that your buds are cured and maybe a little on the dry side. Bury them deep, and if you do not seal for smell there is a chance of somethng digiging them up. Other then that temperature is stable and would for for long term.

Yea, thats what I was thinking. I think depth is key. I think it should last throughout the season, taking out a jar here and there as needed. Well, thanks for writing back.

Same precautions as if you were growing in the woods. Duct tape the bottom of your shoes, don't take the same way in twice (making a path), etc.

It will be a royal pain trying to get back to your stash every time you need another jar.. And digging it up every time is gonna be a pita too.. Sounds risky too.

Putting weed underground for storage in the woods....im so glad i live in california. Do you plan on digging this box up once a month for another jar or what? how much herb are we talking here? Im sure there a better way to do this.

if i was u... i would wrap the jar in a baggy to.... like one of these gallon bags... theres a lot of water underground.... better safe then sorry...... make sure u cover ur tracks... like put leafs and stuff over the dug up area... make it look natural...
