Default Milky white trichomes - is it time?
So today my friend informs me that his trichomes have all turned white as of today. Would now be a good time for him to begin flushing? If so for how long and should there be a darkness period?

I think he needs to wait until they start turning amber then flush.

I was going to post a similar question in a new thread but figured why be redundant. I have a plant at 9 weeks and 90% of the trichomes are cloudy with 0 amber. The plant is definitely sativa dominant. I'm assuming 1 of 2 things; the cloudiest ones will start turning amber soon or I haven't looked hard enough to find amber ones. That leads me to my next question. Can you view 1 or 2 calyx's under the scope and assume that that sample will be a representative of the entire plant or will other calyx's have some amber/cloudy while others are all cloudy/clear? I guess I'm asking how much of the bud do I have to scope before I get an accurate reading?

Thanks, and sorry I didn't mean to hijack the post I figured it was relevant to the OP's question.

But he also plans on flushing for a few days so will the trichomes further mature durring that time?
