Some post say leave the fan leaves on for a couple days then comback and trim re hang and let dry futher. Then cure

Was wondering if leaving fan leaves on affected quality or potency of bud. I realize the fan leaves have water so Im sure they will prolong the drying process. But are these leaves benifical to the drying/curing process.

I'll tell you what I do. Take for what it's worth. I take one branch at a time trim all fans and as much green as I can. Then hang to dry. I like to cut just once. But find I miss a little leaf and trime again when it goes from hang to the jars.

From fdd tutorial im gathering thats what he does as well. Later on in his tutorial i read keeping fan leaves on also gives a grassy smell.

yes fdd knows his stuff. Most of what I do comes form him and a few others. I have liked the outcome doing the cure method posted by fdd. I've tried a few others and was less then happy.

Yeah I think im gonna go with the masses and follow fdd's way ty for the input.

I was just reading an old hightimes interview with Soma (Dec. 2002 yes old I know but still god advise). He recomendation was to remove the fan leaves and nothing more. Hang to dry and manicure later before curing.
