So, I know someone who has the followeing setup:


4x8 room, 3 1000-watt HPS lights, 2 plants per light


claim to harvest every 7 weeks, with 1 pound per light (8 oz a plant)...


does this sound right? not sure on the strain, but supposedly a very early ripener


one would tend to think 3 1000-watt lights in such a small space would be overkill, but they claim 1 pound combined per light every 7 weeks

Very feasable with adquited cooling.

i think 2 1000 would be more than enough

i would throw a MH in there to make ur bud better, the uvb it puts off stimulates the plants to make more resine, but if its commercial that really doesn't matta i guess

8 oz per plant? i doubt it

sounds a little far fetced. in that amount of space you could grow way more plants and get way more bud. 8z per plant maybe with a perfect feeding schedule, c02, perfect ventilation, perfect......what i am trying to say, i dont think so

easy enough to do the 7 week harvest seem a bit short unless they have a seperate veg room where they veg for a month or so

I think this is the cycle he uses... somethin like this at least


rooted cuttings veg for 5 weeks under flurescent lights 24/7 > puts cuttings under 1000-watt metal halide for 1 week > flowers under 3 1000-watt HPS for 7 weeks

he is contineously making clones, every few weeks, and keeping the cycle very tight, so he harvest's then the next day there is another batch of cuttings ready to flower


plus, he claims the strain is the fastest ripener he's found, after growing 25-30 years...

luckily i've aquired a few cuttings for myself, so I will test his methods out


BUT one thing i've noticed, is the final product... the high is a bit disorienting, feels pressure on my skull almost... one friend told me he has come accross a similar strain in the past... he knows it as "chunky monkey" and being very disorienting :S
