have a few grows under my belt and I go by the trichs...still trying to find my sweet spot BUT i go crazy looking at the trichs. MY question is this!

is their a general rule of thumb as to when to start looking at trichs? I am at 61-days flower on unknown bagseed, i looked at the trichs and still clear (which is ok) i have been reviewing trichs for two weeks now and feel i am looking to early. I know that looking at the pistils (hairs) is NOT a great way to harvest by....BUT wondering if you guys wait until hairs change before reviewing trichs?
