No, you can't really increase potency. Either the chemicals are there(THC-acid), and it'll decarboxylate... or it's not... and it's not going to ever happen, because it's not there to begin with.
Basically the same question reiterated... again, no, you can't. The opposite is the point of curing, slightly less potency for a much better smoke. That's the main reason to cure, good smoke. It also helps the THC-acid break down, but so does burning it. And when it's the right dryness, boy does it burn optimally for THC-acid breakdown.

Nope - curing can only be done whilst the bud can still break down starches into sugars. That's why curing is done when the bud is still moist off the plant - as soon as the bud dries out, you cannot re-cure it unless you water cure and watercuring decreases weight by a fair bit so you won't have an ounce of bud anymore.
As tea tree said, curing does NOT increase potency - it breaks down the THC-A into the active form. It does break down starches into sugars, making the bud taste sweeter. The chlorophyll is also broken down, which gets rid of that 'herby' homegrown taste most people don't like.

Cannabinoid Conversion
Naturally, as the metabolic processes continue during curing, the conversion of cannabergerol to tetrahydrocannabinol will continue and the potency of the pot will increase. This is because cannabergerol (CBG) is the non-psychoactive precursor for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Of course, the exact change in THC content will necessarily be dependant upon the concentration of CBG in the fresh material at harvest. Of course any remaining precursors necessary to form additional cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids will also be consumed and converted. not my info......but curing does increase potentcy |

I Love the internet, 2 posts about how curing does not increase potency and one post that it does. Throw in the science mumbo jumbo and you might actually make people believe what you think to be true is true. No wonder people believe in evolution. Both posts were completely believable when the baffling scientific bullshit is added...
Unless you personally conducted the study and published that information I don't believe anyone/anything. I truly believe the answer is yes and no based on the variables at hand. In reality science is not as black and white as people make it! In the first college science course I took the professor told me something that stuck with me; Science NEVER proves anything - we can theorize and see how close or far the results are to our theory. No one has seen an atom, making it only a theory yet we teach it like its proven fact. Nothing personal to any of the above posters its something I find even myself doing on a daily basis. You hear a little bit of science from a friend, watch a little on discovery channel and suddenly you've got a PhD in Botany! If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit!

You said it Teatree,.. and I firmly believe most professors are morons.
Exidis,.. what gives you the impression that the bud was badly cured? You're asking if you can cure/dry it? If it's moist, perhaps it was never cured to begin with. In that case curing might do something for you,..
