i have a question this was my fist harvest. my buds r drie and have a grassy smell to them will curing take care of that smell? i properly flushed the soil before harvest. just wondering what to do bout the grassy smell

all buds smell like grass when first dried. Cure for a week or so and the smell will return.

no they dont all smell like grass when first cut wow some bad info once again. usually that green smell is from premature harvest too early still. But it can be the buds as well, curing will fix some of this but not all of it. Advice for you next crop let them go longer, be patient it pays off...

When you first chop the buds, they do smell like grass.
And when you cure they start smelling like weed again. It's happened on every one of my grows, 6 harvests now for NL, LUI, Sour Jack and some bagseeds.
The grass smell is no indication of premature bud...
Where do you get your info?

my understanding is that smell is the smell of chlorophyll in the bud. when you first pic it and up to a couple of days later the plant still goes through photo synthesis and the smell is produced. but like you guys said the smell WILL turn into a beautiful smell over time and it is possible if you did pick premature you might not get a smell at all depending on curing method and strain. sorry ive just been reading other forums and i read this question elsewhere and a week later the next post from the same guy was my bud smells dank thanks for the info

from the million grows ive done. almost none of my buds smell like grass clippings. even when freshly chopped, when they do 90 percent of the time cause they were chopped TOO EARLY... But like classic Rollitup everyone thinks there right and knows all on growing. and ive grown NLs FYI shit never smells like fuckng grass. ever.

and i have no idea why everyone thinks curing like makes a bud 1000 million times better. IT DOESNT. it does add a little taste back into it, and a little more appeal factor. ITS NOT GUNNA MAGICALLY make ur buds smell and taste awesome.
and dont get me wrong i still allways cure my shit but me and everyone i share with doesnt notice much diffrence.
