so, I am a little confused about one small thing...
I think I am near that window of peak ripeness... However I have been puzzled about one thing.. seedbank websites put a flowering time down for every individual strain, but what I don't understand is should you start counting the duration of flowering from the point that you dropped the light cycle from 18/6 to 12/12? or instead do you start counting from when you notice the first calyx/pistil development? They started developing calyxes and pistils around 1 week after I dropped the light to 12/12... counting from when I first dropped to 12/12 I would be 3 days from 6 weeks flowering... If I start counting from first pistil development it would be 3 days from 5 weeks... can anyone help me out? |

Check trichomes with a scope to determine ripeness. Flowering times given by seedbanks are usually hit or miss and are only intended to give a general idea...and usually under the most optimal conditions.
As for counting flowering days...I, like most others I would assume, start counting when calyxs and pistils appear. Counting from when you switch to 12/12 and then chopping down according to seedbank estimates will almost always guarantee you will harvest too early thus compromising your yield and potency. |

I've never bought a seed in my life but, from the clones, bagseed, and named seed that I have been given by friends and family over the last 20 years, I have had a handfull of plants that finished indoors in 8 wks of 12/12. Most take 9-12 wks. Heavy sativas can take even longer.

Actual flowering times would probably be when pistil development started though.

I think veg time also affects the length of time it takes to start flowering. The seed bank flower times would probably just be a good reference when comparing to other strains, actual times will probably vary.
