If the calyx is starting to open and go into seeding mode, is that a good indicator that it's time to harvest as well as trichs and hair color? i have these white widows (posted pics a week or so ago). Some of the tips of these 12 inch colas have calyx's that are starting to open. i'm thinking about chopping the big colas and giving the undergrowth another week or so.

I figured it out. The calyxs were opening up becasue it was going hermis on me. I yanked em all and they turned out great still. Thank god they didn't start that earlier

I dont understand what you mean. Calyxs always open and the white hairs come out, thats what the flower is. How does that mean hermie mode?

when its a hermi and the calyx opens up theres the hair and then usually like a pollen sac inside

male plants grow totally diffrent flowers alltogether, starting with a mini stem and a little pod on the top,, and around the pod starts to produce more and more pods , sometimes bananna shape,pollon sacks, and they grow flowers if given time,,

so if your plant hermies thats what it will start doing,,

if u diddnt find any seeds in the bud then chances are it was ripe,, were the pods swelled up and fat? because cylax swell with resin,

My plants calyx are doing this now. Do those calyx typlically mature? Or can you cut it with the swollen calyxs'?

weaher they are opening or not chech the trich colours to see if it needs the chop,,, and just check its not seeding,,

if the hairs have turned and shrivell rite up in to the pods u probs left it to late,, and just chop it,
