I'm really disappointed. My buds were smelling so delicious, and then the day before I cut em down, they lost almost all of that MJ smell and started smelling like a fresh cut lawn. I cut the plant down anyway cause it was definitely ready (amber trichomes all over). Now she's hanging in the closet drying, and she still smells all grassy. Anyone know what could be wrong? It sucks cause literally two days ago she was smelling so delicious.

Nothing is wrong,

It happens all the time. Once they dry you will get the good smell back, the thing is when you jar them to cure them the grass smell will come back, Then when you dry the second time they will be great!

It happens always you have to dry and then start to cure thats where the smells will start to change.

Ok cool, ya today I got up and smelled them, and the skunky smell is making a comeback. I was worried that I had harvested too early again like in my first grow.

naw u ok..jus make sure that the buds are dry before you leave in jar for days...dont want mold

A good dry and cure takes about 3 months total!!

Thanks for the link, I've read it, but it's been a long time, and it was a good refresher. I live in a really dry area (like humidity <15%) so I think I'm going to throw a humidifier in the closet today so it won't dry too quick. Temps in the closet are like 67F so I think that's ok.

Wow, that's a long time. You mean like at three months it will be at its absolute prime, right? Can you start smoking it earlier, say 2 weeks into the cure?
