If you want the best smelling and looking bud around. then you are reading the right thread. The way I dry and cure is the way most people do dro. I harvest and hang dry for a day, then I cut the buds off at the stem and i donot flatten my buds at all then i put them in a sealed jar (pickle jars give bad odors and funky taste if you dont let them air out) and 4 times a day for 5 minets i open the jars (try some untill you think its done curing all weeds diffrent) it takes about 10 days. And oh yeah allways store in the freezer in the book ask ed it covers the specifics but freezing helps turn every thing inside the plant to its full potential. also when you have big quantities the thc degrades slower in the freezer. (in the book it said that after 6 months in the freezer the weed smoked relatively the same.)happy growing

Ive heard to hang dry until the stem snaps, but you said you HANG DRY FOR ONE DAY. Was that part correct?
Im trying to gain as much knowledge as I can as Im in week 5 of flowering in my very first grow so I must ask.

No, you need to hang dry for more than 1 day!

1 day would do nothing.

I hang dry for about 10- 14 days in a room with 50% relative humidity and then cure in mason jars, burping them for another 2 weeks. The whole process should take up to and sometimes more than 1 whole month.

LOL.....you have to clean the pickle jar before curing your buds in there

my tcnique has worked fine and i live where the humididy is low at 70% so mabey that helps them dry faster but drying them for a day and curing in the frzr from 10 days to a month keeps them moist to the touch but it still burns

i hate when weed feels dry but thats me

humidity is usually atleast 80 or 85%

I think he meant for Drying marijuana it is not low.

And DAMN 80-85% humidity? Where do live, in a Rainforest?
