Default curing before cooking???
hey guys, i got a quick question for yalls. i'm harvesting one of my gals tomorrow and i was wondering if i need to hang dry all my lower buds for a week before i cook with them or can i hang em for maybe 2 days and stick them in a dehydrator with no heat for a bit and cook with them 3 or so days after harvest. i know the buds most likely still have clorophyl in them but since im making butter and not smoking them will that matter? will it effect the way the butter tastes?

and does anyone know what the most time i'd want to dehydrate the buds ? i was thinking like 4 or 5 hours.

and yes this is in the cooking forum but no one is in there right now

If your going to cook with it then taste is still important and a proper cure is required imo. If your going to be making butter (a fat) everything will get some flavor from the butter. Fats are key flovors in cooking. You have a bad fat and everything else will taste bad. hope this makes sense......wake and bake here.

I would cure them properly. Even cured I find the green taste pretty strong, but I think that is my personal problem.
