My only addition to this piece is once you do harvest, make sure you dry and cure properly. It's such a shame to care and nourish the girls for as long as we do to only screw up the final and most important phase of the grow. It makes me cringe when I read posts that say dry and cure only takes two weeks.

Proper water curing takes even less time than that.

water curing is HORRIBLE!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS????

it takes away the wonderful aromas it takes away the flavors....

water curing is something you do when you have PM and don't have enough to make hash... ime it ruins the hard work you put into growing the killakilla.

water curing... lol

I dont know about water curing other than what I've read. I grow for strictly personal reasons and time is not essential. I am not going to cut corners to save a bit of time. I am not going to waste 3-4 months of a successful grow and not finish up with a proper cure.

Proper water curing only removes the chlorophyll and will leave all the essential oils inside the weed.

It also turns the bud a nice golden-brown color if done right, and looks like some outright exotic bud.

I tried water curing ONE time . It was the worst curing I've ever done. Period! Don't waste good bud water curing. I did the whole week with the bud in a cooler underwater changing the water daily and wasn't pleased. Although the buds were tight and nuggy, the taste change was awful compared to just 4 weeks of just curing bud normally. The bud shrank alot and lost weight about 1/4 more then normal. I think this technique is more for mid grade weed! just my observation!

This is true, water curing does remove more weight because of the effectiveness in removing the extra chlorophyll.

The trick to keeping aroma and flavor though is to use a constant water temp and do not let it deviate.
