i dont have a strong mag. glass and as it seems in this hell whole i wont find one any time soon,i have a x4 mag. but thats not enough,whats the best indicator aside from the trichs

the hairs , basically the lighter colors and mix of white hairs its head high , darker , browns and red are couch lock

Do you have a high MP(megapixel) digital camera?

See if it supports 2 settings: Macro or Super-Macro shots(often a flower icon, press it multiple times). These will be several times 100%, and in focus.

If you won’t do that I would say to wait until about half your hairs have changed to a darker color and then nip a smallish bud and quick dry it and smoke it and see if you like it. If so harvest and if not give it another day or two and hope that things do not get worse instead of better.

Hairs can fool you so it is not close to being perfect but at least with some still lighter colored hairs there is a decent chance the plant(s) will not have matured past their prime and if anything you may end up taking them somewhat early instead of to late. There is still a gamble involved and it could be to late or way to early but without a way to look at trichs all you can do is roll the dice and hope they come up 7's or 11's instead of rolling craps and ending up with crap.

Hey bro. You need to chop when the calyxes are swollen. It starts at the bottom of the plant (oldest growth) and then works it's way up. Check out this pic by Mared Juwan and notice how they stack on top off each other.

I agree with the post above this one.
I wait untill the calyxes look like they are gonna pop like little bubbles. They will stack up like he mentioned and will look "done". other than that...ebay has many 30x jewelers loupes for like 3-8 dollars.
