OKAY, so i'm not sure if i had messed up on my plant last year growing,
or it's because i did not cure correctly.

but, you know how when (even on the day of harvest) the buds do not look like a bud would that you would buy from your dealer? well, maybe yours do, thats actually my question here.

when i harvested my plant, the buds were more just calyxes and not buds. just clusters of calyxes, ya feel me?
when you cure, is this what makes them pop out into fluffy buds? or did i do something incorrectly in the flowering stage? thanks!

What did you flower under (lighting)?

it was an outdoor grow, the sun.

did you let the plant grow untill full maturity? did you determine time to harvest by the color of the hairs or the trichs?
did you let them get too dry before you cured in the jars? when they go into jars you will lose that dank smell and after it cures for a bit, the nice dankness comes back.
i dont want fluffy buds i like them dense.

Maybe they needed more direct sunlight then? Usually spiney calyxes are a good indication there wasn't enough light penetration. Or it could just be bad genetics. Flowering ferts (nutes) usually help fatten calyxes out also, so maybe it was just a fertilizer problem.

Yea they probably weren't done...lol I didn't even think of that. That's the typical harvest problem for a newer grower. gotta wait, those last two weeks really fill out.

yeah they may not have filled out , or maybe not trimmed right , most comercial growers use tumbers that auto trim weed that it tubles on screensa and its cuts uts evenly down to a shorter length but more even looking , and also when you dry it the calyxs shrink because they dry out and shrivel up, and curing they should look pretty close lol , maybe next time try trimming the whole bud not just leaves bring everything to the same length.... oh and use the trim for hash lol

how many seeds did you get? i did 2 bagseed grows last year. both hermied which of course is probly genetics, but i had heat issues and any of the ones i put outside did not hermie. ok so the first grow started to hermie and i freaked and chopped them all. i would have to say about 3 weeks early. they looked nice, a little fluffy but once dried and cured, i got a small buzz, it was harsh and smelled a little like hay. it might have gotten a little to dry before the cure.
the next round i vegged longer and in turn had a higher female ratio ( maybe cause i let them get more mature before 12/12 ). these also hermied towards the end but this time i let them go another 3 weeks. i didnt dry as long before put into jars. after the cure was very good smoke. i couldnt even open a jar in the house, within seconds the house would fill up with the sweet smell although the wife wasnt to pleased. my nugs were sticky and better than the original product. i ended up with about 80 -90 beans in 7 ounces so i dont think a few beans will affect your buds all that much.

A good cure give the buds "bag appeal". A good cure takes time.....like a month or more.

Oh yeah, I had sex with a girl last night.....found out later it was a guy. <-----just kidding but that post about "i forgot to add my plant was indeed a hermie" made me laugh my ass off
