I just harvested yesterday and put some nicely trimmed buds into a 1/2 pint jar, i left the cover off and put it in the drawer of a wooden dresser. Today my lovely buds that smelt so great are kinda smelling like tomatoes today, and most of the trichomes which were clear have turned an almost cream/light brown looking color... and parts of the stems too. Please tell me 1 day in darkness isn't enough to cause mold? It's just the trichomes that changed, but the color is slightly on the stems too. If this is mold what can be done?

Let the buds air dry until the outsides feel real dry before you put in jars.

Do I understand you correctly that you went straight from harvesting fresh moist buds to putting them into jars to cure?

I cannot say for sure that one day is enough for mold to start to grow since I never did what you did but it won’t take long before they mold.
