Flower to harvest. From clone shud only be an extra 2 weeks, n-e way

Thanks...I was just wondering because 48 days or so seemed like a short time from flower to harvest. They sure do look close to me though. I guess the trics will tell.

There are no set finish times for any strain,if one grower finished in 72 days there are way too many variables in other growers rooms to use his day count,too many things change from grow room to grow room to use anybody elses finish time,even with the same strain.

When they talk day count they are talking from when pistils first start to form on the plants,the day count should be started roughly 2 weeks from the 1st day the plants went to 12/12,not allways but roughly.

Its highly doubtfull you missed the growth burst,before the growth burst the pistils will start to brown out & there will be very little new white pistil growth,if you have not had any red/brown pistils followed by a heavy burst of new white pistils covering them over then you have not gone through the 2nd growth burst yet,i can see from the pics the buds have not gone that far yet.

Again,some strains do not get red/brown pistils until after they are ready to harvest but the strain your growing is not one of them,i'd bet you have a full 30 days to go before harvest.

As for letting the plant eat itself no you should not allow that to continue,put everything you've read about flushing the plants right in the toilet & flush it,keep feeding the plants,i like to give mine a few shots of nitrogen rich fertilizer durring heavy bud,i also foliar feed them one time about half way through bud cycle with a light mixture of fertilizer water in a spray bottle,this allows the sun leaves to live much longer & continue the process of turning light energy into plant/bud building energy,you can spray the entire plant down wih your veg nutes as long as the mix is about 10%,then make sure you have a fan blowing directly on the buds after any visable moisture is gone,this protects against any inner excess moisture within the buds & the possibility of bud rott.

You can experiment with advanced & unproven techniques like flushing on future grows,on your 1st grow just keep the plants as healthy as possible by feeding them properly all the way through the grow right up until the last watering you give them,the nonsense commonly spewed about tasting fertilizer is exactly that,nonsense,whats tasted is "clorophyll" from buds that are not properly dried,fertilizer is made up of elements,these things do not leave the plant,once elements like boron/iron/copper/magneese ect are in the plant no amount of flushing will remove them,keep feeding the plant & your plant will be much healthier.

On your first few grows its best to forget most of what you read on these sites,lots of unproven myths like flushing & ultra expensive fertilizers are touted as fact,the best thing you can do is to keep everything as simple as possible,watch the plant,if its showing clear signs that it needs fertilizer then feed it,if the buds are not ready to harvest by trichomes after the second growth burst then wait,day count will only play a role after you are used to the strain from several grows,same thing with fertilizing,on later grows you can custon tailor the feeding from experience but the first few grows its best to keep the plant as healthy as possible through the entire grow by feeding it.

Very very nice Panhead! I'd give you more rep, but it won't let me yet lol I've never waited till that second spurt, cause I tried to harvest before amber's set in heavy to keep it headie. I think for my next grow Ill let a few plants hit the 2nd spurt, and compare to see the differences in my new room with my strains. I'll be doing a DWC perpetual grow, so time is key, but if its going to yeild wayyy more to wait an extra month I might have to
