This is my first grow, so I don't know what to expect, and I have not seen this question asked.

I'm on day 40 in flower, and I've been wondering about these small buds on branches. Are these pointless?? will they fill out more?

I have not noticed any growth for past 10 days, some red hairs and some leaves turning yellow, but that's it.

Not pointless but thats probably as big as they're gonna get. They may grow a little more but not significantly. You could cut them off to have a little bit to smoke on while the rest of the plant continues flowering and to get a peek at where its potency stands as of now

yup but i think his will get bigger. Are u saying ur 40 days from switching light cycle or actual preflowers showing?
I pick off a little bud and sample it, its fun

Something is wrong, plants should be half way done by now.
Are they getting total darkness, no leaks at all?
What nutes are you feeding her, lighting.
Give me some more info on that plant.

They showed pre-flower during veg.. I'm 40 days of 12/12

medium: soil

Lights : 250W hps, 4 4" T5 3000K bulbs, 1 300W cfl (300 output not sure what true wattage is)

nutes: FF growbig and tiger bloom while in flower, every other water, and molasses since day 21 also every other water

strain: carmelicious

and they might be over 1/2 way done.. if u want to see buds i can snap a pic real quick

Don't pick any off yet they will get bigger and better. Just remember that all good things come to those who wait.

BAKED TO PERFECTION

to make the smaller buds fill out, your going to need to take strings, and tie the limbs down, dont bend them till they break but just tie them down enough to where the light will reach the center of the plant. this should allow those small buds to grow a little bit.
