I am approx 1-2 weeks away from harvesting my 1st grow of 6 OG clones.

Setup - Hydromax 2000 hydro setup, 400 watt Metal Halide and HPS, GH nuts.

Statement: The hairs are roughly 25% orange/amber.

Question: When do I harvest?

Second question: Is it possible for 1/2 of the crop to ripen before the other 1/2, and if so, what should I do with the buds that arent ready?

I would get a pocket microscope from radio shack for $13.00 and wait for the trichomes to turn all cloudy for a more up buzz or 1/2 cloudy and 1/2 amber which is the most psychoactive. I have been growing in and outdoors for years and just got a scope this summer. It makes all the difference in the bud if you know the trich color. Allmost ALL my bud in the past has been hacked too soon. You cant go by the color of the hairs and be accurate. My favorite bud is Bubba Kush and I have had a mom for 2 years. I grew some outdoors and was able to check the trichs and the smoke is the best it has ever been. Right now I have a BlueberryXCindy99 that I would have hacked 2 weeks ago because it looked done to the naked eye! The bitches just showed cloudy trichs and Im still waiting for 1/2 cloudy and 1/2 amber. I still have at least another several days to wait. Its worth the money to get the scope and get the best out of your growshow! Good Luck! Whatever you decide!

I forgot to add. You can allways pick the stuff that is done and wait for the rest to finish. Just dont take over 25% or she will stress too much and bud growth will slow!
