When i first start to cure to i fill the jars with buds to the top or only hafe way and how many time a day should i open the jar?

dont pack the jars tight, a little over half way is fine....once a day for about 15 mins is what I do....or twice a day for 5 mins or so....just make sure you move them around a bit when you open them.....

go half way and don't pack them in. I'll give you a quick run down on how I do it. I fill jars half way,open jars every 12 hours and empty the bud from jar onto a screen and let sit for 20-30 minutes,I repeat that for 3-4 days then after 3-4 days I burp the jar once a day for 15 minutes untill the bud is how I want it.

haha i just had 420 posts but anyway thanks for the quick replies i think iam going to cut the buds off them stems and put them in jars tonight and do what uses said but how long do uses usually do this for iam thinking about 1-2 weeks?

at least 2 weeks, the longer you cure, the better the taste and high will be...at least 2 weeks man...

the high wont improve, just the smoothness of the smoke and the flavor. 2wks is avout average but some go waaaay longer. its like wine, you can drink it as soon as its made, but the longer you wait the better it gets.

i beg to differ man....i ran out of smoke a while back and had some fresh bud that I just jarred, i said screw it and smoked some, boy was i bummed when i hardly got high....but after curing for 3 weeks and then smoking it, i got high as hell....needless to say its probably the best smoke ive ever had....not arguing, but I know it does increase potency for a fact....here read this....

good post, i stand corrected....respect. i figured it was placebo effect because we werent getting the flavour or smoothness of the smoke we desire. i usually start smoking my herb as it goes into the jars and it gets me plenty high.

Proper curing makes all the difference in the world. When you put your buds in the jars its a good idea to get rid of any remaining stem. Fill the jar but not packed tightly. I leave them sit for a good 24 hrs and then check the moisture. If they are dry and crispy (dried too long), I throw something in there to increase moisture like a piece of carrot or fresh fan leaf or something like that. If they are too moist, I place them into a paper bag for a few hours. Once everything is going along well, I burp them once or twice a day for a few minutes and gently rotate the buds around. I do this for about a week then I leave them sealed for a few days before checking them again. I have found that 2 weeks is just a bit too early even though thats what most will say on here. I think its closer to 4 weeks to get the proper results but that is just my personal observations and preference.
