SO! Over the summer i was able to get my hands on a couple extra plants my buddy didnt want cause they had either seeded over in one case or the other had sand on them from toppling over. I hate wasting, so i jumped at the opp., snagged all the seeds from the fellas and TRIED to make some hash (had a 3 bag set) from the ladies buuuuttt, as im sure you can imagine, it turned out full of sand in it. Weighs a TON hahahah but, its def light in color and you can see the sand, but i know theres tons of crystal in there. Does anyone have any ideas on how to actually extract the THC and leave behind the sand orrr??? Its pretty fine sand, almost dusty, was near a cornfield..... tryin not to give up....

Use an alcohol extraction method. Also you can make butter like dirtyboy said. Just filter it through cheese cloth to get the particles out

the sand is so fine, its almost dusty, thats why im concerned. so cheese cloth woudl grab the crap and not the thc then? what about somethin as crude as a coffee filter.... would the thc get thru okay??

Cheese cloth will keep everything other then the thc the thc is in liquid form from the water and butter a coffee filter will just rip double up the cheese cloth

THC can be "melted" down into liquid using butter or alcohol. Depending what type of extraction you are doing, you can filter the sand out. The THC will be a liquid form and the next process of extraction will need to be done

just smoke it as is in a bong so that the water catches the sand if it goes through.
