Hey Everybody,

I have a nice cigar humidor that is lined with spanish cedar (not aromatic cedar like that which you find in hope chests or a closet). As many of you probably know, inside a spanish cedar case is considered the best way to store nice cigars. In part because it is excellent at maintaining the moisture desired in a cigar.

I'm curious if any of you have every tried curing or even just storing your cannabis in spanish cedar? The cedar itself has a rather strong smell so I'm wondering if that smell will find itself onto the weed and whether or not that smell would be welcome?

Anybody have any thoughts about how spanish cedar will make marijuana taste?

I once cured some bud in a cigar box as a test... It was clearly different and I kinda liked it. it kinda had a spicy kinda... Idk how to explain it. I would try it with a small amount to see if you like it. I dont know if this was "spanish cedar" but it was a cedar of some sort.. Yellow or incense maybe.

An old head I knew kept a large Spanish cedar humidor full of his colas. He put them in once they could burn in a joint. He'd keep the lid propped up with a matchstick so it was open an eigth an inch at first. At some point he closed it and walked away. Once a week he'd take a bud out to smoke that week. I swear at the bottom of that box those buds were like fabric and burnt so good. They tasted great but not as good as jar cured IMO. I would not complain ever. I think it lost some potency due to oxygen deterioration though it was a small loss.
