Default Is there an average loss of weight From weight to dried?

I was thinking about this earlier, I believe that it is around 75-80% loss.
Is that number correct? My thinking is for newer growers to weigh wet and then weigh after a few days so when it reaches that magic number they can start to cure. Now the problem with this is that I don't know if there is in fact an average or if each strain has it's own ratio of loss. Does this make sense to anyone?

I meant WET to dried, not weight. Maybe I should not ask questions while sampling.

That's about right, I usually see around a 70% loss.

I'm weighing my first buds when picked this week and will compare when they are cured shortly. Will let you guys know. Its getting close to summer here in Oz with temps at 20-30C (70-90F) buds are drying real fast. In the jars after hanging and bagging for 4 days.

When I quick dried a couple smaller buds on my girl, one bud weighed 4.2g and the other weighed 6.3g wet. When they were dry 3 days later one weighed 1.2g and the other weighed 2.5g So 70% loss + or -

hey fellow rollers its usually a quater for me.take the wet weight divide it by 4 and thats what i usually get

Yup everyone seems right, but if you start losing 100% in weight you're doing something wrong.
