Fixing to Cut down some AK and wantèd to try to make some hash from the trichome covered trim. Does the trim need to be Dry before trying the cold water extracting method.does anyone have a good (cheap*)method of making a small batch of hash and where to get the screens ?can u get such as that at. ive actually just thrown dry weed in a big glas jar of ice water shook that bitch for as long as i could and let it settle

I went to a local crafts store and found some fine mesh cloth that was good for hash sifting, went for 99 cents a piece. Bought 4 different sized ones to cover all the bases. Build a square out of wood. I cut a 2x4 into 12 inch pieces, and nailed 4 of them together to make the square. Then stretch the fabric to the desired size, and staple it around the outside, and voila, cheap yet effective screen.

Never done a cold water extraction, but found an easy DIY guide here. I don't imagine you'd have to let the leaves dry out, just to get them wet again anyway with the cold water extraction.

i got one thats a bubble hash method its called the gumby hash method all u need is lots of ice water a bucket a spoon to stir and a tea strainer or any screen that will caught the leaf material u add the trim water and ice stir for 20 minutes let sit then stir for ten more strain and let the water sit for a day come back and all the resin will have settled to the bottom use a sipon to get the water out but dont mess with the trics at the bottom works quit well

Yes it can.

yep .. no need to dry it ... matter of fact its best in my experience to take the fresh clippings and pop em in the freezer for a few hours first.
the cold temp helps the trichs break off

Just freeze it, and shake it through a screen. I have a grrreat little hash maker I will share with you guys. also I always wash my keif with cold water and a coffee filter, seems to make it smoke 100% better. then when you press the water out it bricks up, be careful to get all the water out before storing it in a container, cuz hash molds too.
