Must have jarred a tad too soon - 3 of the small Ball jars w/ Bessie/Trixie nugs are sprouting white whispy mold. Ugh.

Thank goodness that I gave the big jars a very long burp yesterday, but because I fear their moisture, since the other buds don't have big stem hangers anymore, I have pulled everything out of jars and have put them in closed paper bags.

I'm assuming I have to throw out the bud with the moldyness - there wouldn't be any way to pick it out or pluck around it. Just wondering if there is ANY safe way to salvage any of it? It's probably an ounce total.

Stupid noob mistake - oh yeah, I am a newbie. Guess this is par for the course.

OK. I don't want to invest in the bags and the butane process kinda scares me. This may be one really big batch of iso hash.

If I did just dry it, I wonder if vaporizing it will kill that shit before I inhale it - if I don't just trash it all in a mold-phobic moment.

well i saw a thread somewhere that you mix a peroxide solution with water and dip the moldy buds in... take them out let them dry hanging and try not to make the mistake again.. you only need enough peroxide to kill the mold.. maybe 1 table spoon per gallon would be good enough..

That's what I did when I found mold - just make some good hash (not the worst thing in the world).

butane extraction is easy, its just you only get a couple grams off an ounce

yea u could scrape up like 6g's of honey with an ounce, you are going to need alot of butane tho : )

I might have just f'ed it up but I'm experimenting. Thinking that vinigar is a natural mold killer, I filled the salad spinner with hot water, then poured a whole bunch of white vinegar in. Swished it around gently then strained it. Rinsed 3 time in cool water then spun, fluffed, spun.

Suprisingly, it fluffed nicely! Put it on a cookie rack to dry out overnite. Depending on the turn out, can either vape or mix w/ shisha for shits and giggles if the vinegar makes it taste odd.

It smells pretty good....who knows..might work, right?

figured that while I am deciding what to do with it, I had to stop the mold. Letting it dry on there seemed nasty. I wouldn't cook with moldy cheese or toast moldy bread, right?

But decided all this after indulging w vape. Could be stoney decision making! LOL!
