Exclamation Are my buds dry enough?
most of the smaller buds i am drying by hanging in a cardboard box are crispy on the outside but the stem is still bendy.

is it time to put the smaller branches into mason jars?

the dryer buds have been drying for 4 days now.

the biggest branches (3-4) + the main cola are still a little moister and still have the pungent smell i love.

will i regain the smell of the dry buds (they've lost alot of smell) after I leave them in the mason jars for a week or two?

Put them into brown paper bags for a few days, making sure to check them twice daily and re-arrange them. This will help redistribute the moisture evenly throughout the buds (takes moisture from the center to the outer drier parts) plus the paper bag will absorb any excess moisture. If you notice that they seem to be getting too moist again, remove them and re-hang. After a few days (time it takes depends on the density of you buds), make sure they are dry and move them to Mason jars. You know the drill from there.

thanks. yeah i have been leaving my bigger brances to hang for 5 days now. the bud is getting overall crispy on the outside but the stems are still pretty bendy.

i took 6 of my smallest branches, took the buds off and tossed into a mason. I've been opening the mason roughly once every 4 hours. I do not see any sign of moisture, but my buds have plumpled back up again some.

i'm going to leave the rest of the buds until Thursday, then jar it all. burp them every few hours, or as much as i can. whats a good number per day to open them and move around? I know you want to do it more in the beginning and less as the buds get to the right level.
