Default Two Days in the Dark?
I have read that some folks, after flushing and before harvesting, put the plant into complete darkness for two days. This is supposed to increase THC and resin production. Who has experience with this and does it work? Also, my trichs are almost all cloudy, but no amber yet. If I did this dark days thing would it speed up the ambering of trichs?

Depends on who you read. I grow based on the weed being harvested at the end of a light cycle. Have read that this is when it's at it's peak . . . and have also read that the exact opposite is the case. I think it's more important that the target plant hasn't be watered recently. Always resulted in speedier pot in my experiences, both effect and cure.

nah from what ive read its bullshit, THC does "grow" in darkness, but buds develop in light, if you think that 2 days of sheer darnkess will help? try it. I did with my one plant and harvested it and did one with normal lights, NO DIFFERENCE at all, none, other than plant 2 hermied and the seeds developed,(it was already herming before the darkness)
Ive seen countless discussions about this, and from what ive taken in, its bullshit.
and its not natural, so why would it be beneficial?

I strongly disagree. That DARK PERIOD is a big waste of time in my opinion.
And, my trichs go from clear, to MIXED, to amber to cloudy, to Mixed, and to brownish, to dark brown.

Yes, you are killing your plants, starving them to death, they are dying, is my opinion.
Some growers skip a day or two days of feeding, they say to get the nute chemical taste out. I have tried it and could not tell any diference. My last two grows, I fed them up til the day I harvested.
