Hey guys! I have a microscope thatys 10x but it doesn't seem to magnify enough to get a real up close look at the triches. I know that I'm supposed to be looking for them to turn an amber color, which it looks like one of the females I have is doing. It's only about 5-10% amber but what I was wondering is if it's ok to clip some popcorn size buds off and test them? How long to you think the first pic plant has to go? It's been budding 6-7 weeks. I started that one first so the others might have a an extra week or 2 to go.

Also, I have a little cable box that produces heat on the top and for quick drying I put it on that for a day or so. How much thc am I loosing by quick drying, and also what is the fastest way to properly dry buds? I have heard so many people say it will take 3 weeks which sucks for me. Let me know what you think of the herb.

the plant is getting there, it could go another 3-5 weeks no problem. If the temp of your quick drying method exceeds 190 yes it probably is degrading the thc. As for the quickest weight to fully cure your bud...Probably water curing. It takes away weight as well as smell of the bud and smoke.

hey there - wait it out! please look at my grow journal - by looking at my plants, you'd think they were ready, but they aren't. Trixie's hairs are more amber than yours, but when I look at her trichs under 60x microscope, she's just starting to get milky. Plus, if you quick dry something and don't cure it, you still won't know what your finished bud will be like since it will just taste HARSH. I'm sure it will give you some high, but not what it will be like if you can just be patient. I know it's hard, but do it! You won't regret it in the end.

2 or so more weeks, looking really good though. It should really buff up and resinate these next 2 weeks though.

It's so hard seeing the buds, and knowing you can't smoke them haha. But i'm sure i'll be happier with the end result if I wait
