Default Picking and freezing
has anyone ever heard of picking a plant then putting it in the freezer for an hour or two to act like the first frost or like the end of the season is near. i heard by doing this the plant produces more Trichromes as a natural defence from the cold. anyones input on this?

Well, the trichomes are already there when you pick it and new ones aren't growing in an hour or two. It might be doing something else that makes the pot more potent but it's not growing trichomes so I'm going to have to call this myth busted.

most plants when placed in a harsh climate have ways of defending themselves. ex. opium when placed in a harsh climate its natural defence is to produce more of the chemical called mescaline. from experience we left a plant last year untill it snowed and there was such thick resin on the trichromes you couldnt see the green. can this be achieved by shocking the plant near the end of its life? experience is all i want to hear from ppl none of this i think or probably based on facts. experience is all that matters.

mescaline is found in peyote and other types of cacti.
Opium is a derivative of the poppy plant.

THE ONLY TIME I'VE HEARD ABOUT PUTTING WEED IN THE FREEZER WAS TO AID IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING HASH. SEE, WHAT YOU DO IS TAKE ALL OF YOUR DRIED LEAVES AND PLACE THEM INTO A PAPER BAG AND PLACE THEM IN THE FREEZER FOR ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO. THIS IS TO ALLOW THE GLANDS TO SNAP OFF FROM THE STALKS MORE EASILY. I WOULDN'T PUT FRESH HARVESTED COLAS IN THE FREEZER BECAUSE OF THE WATER STILL IN THE PLANT, IT MIGHT MESS UP YOUR BUDS. BUT IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIMENT GO FOR IT!
