Default check this pic out / trichs vs effects
found this - it illustrates the importance of keeping an eye on your trics come harvest time

Q: but what about the categorization of cannabis as indica / sativa?

is it not all in the tricks?

If I harvest with cloudy trics I will get a uplifting sativa high - if I wait and let trics go amber I will get a couchlock indica high..?

it cant be that easy..

im sure the situation is more complex...

anybody?

This is all pretty much what I've heard. Of course genetics play a major role here, but you can help "sway" the effects of your plant more sativa or indica by harvesting earlier or later, respectively.
