Default noob wooden dry box idea
firslty apologies for the 100th drying thread in recent times....

My issue is i have my first grow going now about 2-3 weeks away from the chop according to the nice peeps on here however i have some clones going that will be put into the hydro system in the near future. My grow space (boiler cupboard) is the only dark and closed space i have in my house, obviously i cant use this for drying as clones will be in there.

A friend of mine is a carpenter and he could knock me up a box for free quite easily. What i planned to do was have a standing rectangle box about 4 feet high with a removeable lid that i can hang buds on and close.

Would i need a small whole somehwere near the bottom for a fan? Also would a wooden box be ok or does the bud really need a lot more open air?

thanks very much sorry if its been covered on here, i get so many search matches

u should be fine if there is air circulation. ur basicly trying to dry these buds without gettin mold on them. u could dry them anywhere, just that they would get sweaty and wet without fresh air circulation.

id say as long as u have 2 holes, one for the fan to blow air into and the other to let the 'bad air' out, u should be fine.

yep, something about how light destroys thc. it needs to be completely dark.

cant u get a box built big enough for the fan to fit in and just have a hole for the exhaust?

edit: it doesnt need to be a big ass fan. just a small one will do. just something to move the air.

box should be wide enough to sit a small fan in the bottom , wasnt going to hook up and exhaust with any extraction , was thinking just some holes\grate for ventilation(perhaps half way up the box). You think that would be ok?

cant let this stuff get mouldy its the first grow i would cry

yeah, long as u can come up with something that doesnt expose light but yet u can still get air circulating in there, u will be fine.
