So this Saturday two of my friends and I are going to try shrooms. It will be my and one of my friend's first times, but the other has eaten them before. He got them from one of his buddies who he has bought mushrooms from previously, so it's pretty trustworthy. He says it's great, so it's something me and my other buddy want to try out. Apparently they're in the form of a chocolate bar so it won't taste as bad, and we're going to start around 5:00 in the evening so we have some daylight to play around with. I took off work Saturday night (obviously) and don't have to be in on Sunday until 8:00 at night, so I think I'm allowing myself enough time to recouperate (anyone tell me if I'm wrong though).

I have a couple of questions, though, from others who have done shrooms before or who do them regularly. What should I expect for my first time? Is it like weed where the first time doesn't really have the strong effects that I'm anticipating? Should I do them on a full or empty stomach (I read that there is the potential for nausea)? Should I make it a point to keep hydrated, or should I just drink fluids normally? We're going to be in a safe, relaxed environment so I'm not really worried about that. What sorts of things should we do or avoid doing? My friend who has done shrooms before says that smoking weed during can help calm people down if they start to freak out, is this true and recommended? And how long should I expect the effects to last?

It's kind of like asking what it's like to go to space... Someone could tell you, but you will never grasp it, until you go...
Just think, happy, lots of colors, nausea, etc..

What should you expect? Nothing

I personally had expectations my first time just because of the label "hallucinogen" but all predisposition of what you know are gone and you are "it".

Depending on the dosage(anything more than like .8g) you will feel the effects your first time. How much are you taking?

Empty stomach is preferable, but dont starve yourself, I usually eat 2-3 hours before dosing so I have energy. As for during the trip, no hunger is felt, but when you come down you will be hungry.

A hit or 2 of weed will take care of the nausea but I find there is no need to keep smoking as this seems kind of a waste to me. Mushes by themselves are good enough.

You might feel dry mouth so have some water. Your body will tell you when your thirsty.

For your first time you should probably avoid public places, but going to the park is always fun.

Personally I am not a huge fan of marijuana while tripping, as for calming people down I guess it could but it can just as easily go the other direction.

The effects will last about 5 hours give or take an hour depending on dosage. Good luck

I usually dont eat for 3 hours before I trip. I always smoke weed as it gets rid of my stomach pain but it also enhances the trip alot. And I suggest you go find some woods and go walk around in them its awesome.

Unless you're like me. As in shrooms give me an intense body high, where it's hard to walk around... heh, usually I'm just planted on the couch for hours...

Man i haven`t done shrooms since the late 80`s. when i did i picked them my self in west broward county FLA. a very good buzz. ya gonna like it.
